How Progression Works
-
Movement between levels is by expressed desire, encouragement, conversation, and invitation (professional troupe) - not tests
-
Dancers may move forward, pause, or step back as life changes
-
Returning to a previous level is considered maintenance, not regression
Progression reflects readiness to take on new expectations — not a judgment of worth or talent.
Guiding Principle
-
As dancers progress, the emphasis gently shifts:
From personal exploration
To shared structure
To collective expression and experience
-
Each level is complete in itself. Advancement is an option, not an obligation.
